Haven't blogged in awhile, and I apologize. Getting used to having a puppy in the house is some serious business, and takes a lot of time that I really didn't have until now that she's a little calmer about life and things in general.
These past couple of weeks were difficult. The first few I got upset and anxious because I was worried she was going to pee everywhere and that just made me feel awful inside just thinking about it. But luckily, God blessed me with a very smart puppy and even at having her for almost five weeks, she is pretty much housebroken. And I am very proud to be her mommy.
We've been working on sit, and heel, which she is doing amazing at. She sleeps a lot, and plays a lot and eats a lot too. All very healthy signs of a growing puppy!
She had her first vet visit last Tuesday, and she got two shots, but she didn't even notice because they were feeding her treats so that made everything better.
She also went to see Santa last Saturday, which at first she was wary about, but after awhile she got used to it, all she really cared about were the treats Santa was giving her.
We went on a Christmas walk, and she met a lot of people and when I got down with her, she was alright. She's super shy when it comes to people.
She had her first playdate as well, with two beagle puppies. She's already twice their size and still growing!
She's going to grow up into an amazing dog, and I am so excited about it!

Day Two: Intervention!
Day twl! Things went well today. I had to get up at 4:30 tonwalk her, but them she went to bed right after.
When we left for church she was upset but when we came back she was fine and we took her out to go to the bathroom. Aaron and Elizabeth came over and played with her, tiring her out. Lol.
After they left, I gave her a snack and I ate my lunch and then everyone left and Buffy, Charlie and I slept in the living room.
I took her out every hour and we didn't have any accidents.
She barked again when she saw a dog. Very proud of her!
She played shebplayed with my dad most of the days because he was then one home and I needed a break he watched her. He really enjoys playing with her. :)
She's mastered the art of sot and up. But up mostly. We're still working on sit. ;)
Her and Buffy had a little falling out, but no one was hurt. Charlie sort of knows her place now. Buffy is still grumpy. Lol.

Day One: Home!!
Charlie came home today!! :D
We got up at 6:30 in the morning to go and get her, we drove home, she wasn't a fan of the back seat, but she survived. I made her jump out of the back of the car by herself, my mom wasn't sure she could do it, but she did. She's a very capable little puppy. :)
We introduced her to Buffy, Buffy and her aren't friends, but they're civil. Buffy doesn't really tolerate her.
I bought Charlie a better leash after I learned that the one I had just wasn't going to cut it. I had to run to the store while she napped. I'm taking her out very hour or so. Just after a day she's starting to get when we go out. And only to go outside, not inside. She went pee in the house yesterday just because I wasn't quick enough, but I instantly told her no, and took her outside. She got the idea. :)
She was pretty darn tired by 6pm. And she was sleeping in my lap while I watched a movie. (since I had a cold.) And I had to get her up every hour to go outside. She wasn't very happy with me.
I put her in her crate when we went to bed, she cried for awhile and then got over it and went to sleep. Then at 4:30, she started to cry again and I had to take her out. I'll have to get up probably around that time every night until she gets that we wait until it's light out to pee. Lol. But she didn't pee in her crate at all last night. That doesn't mean she won't, we've still got a long way to go!

PetCo Visit!
Today I went on a final shopping trip for Charlie!
I bought a blue clicker, for clicker training.
And a food mat that says: Bone Appetit! ;)
I also bought some training pads at Big Lots.
